Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
What is the ruling on selling photography equipment and its films?

Answer:
There is nothing wrong with selling photography equipment; because it may be used for dire necessity, and for photographing things that have no life, such as trees and the like, and for the photography that people need for accessories and other things out of dire necessity. However, one should not photograph anything except what is needed out of dire necessity,
while He has explained in detail to you what He has forbidden you, excepting that to which you are compelledوَقَدْ فَصَّلَ لَكُمْ مَا حَرَّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ إِلَّا مَا اضْطُرِرْتُمْ إِلَيْهِ
[Al-An'am:119] as needed by those who deal in accessories... or academic certificates... a picture or photograph of inanimate objects, such as trees, valleys, stones, cars, or anything else.
