The ruling on dedicating the recitation of al-Fatihah to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
He has a second question in his letter, saying: I have memorized the Noble Qur'an, and every morning I recite Surat Yasin and al-Waqi'ah. At the end, I dedicate the recitation of al-Fatihah to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and his household, another al-Fatihah to all the prophets, the truthful ones, and the Muslims, another al-Fatihah to my parents and everyone who has a right over me, and an al-Fatihah for my children and the children of the Muslims. Is this permissible?
Answer: There is no basis for this, and the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) did not do this with their Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Therefore, this is not prescribed; rather, it is a religious innovation with no justification. He (peace and blessings be upon him) is in no need of it, because he receives the same reward as us for all the good we do; for he is the one who points to the good (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
One who guides to something good has a reward similar to that of its doer.من دل على خير فله مثل أجر فاعله
Sahih Muslim 1893a
So he (peace and blessings be upon him) receives a reward like ours in our recitation, our prayers, our fasting, and so on. He is given a reward like ours because he is the one who points to the good and calls to it (peace and blessings be upon him). Therefore, there is no need for us to dedicate al-Fatihah or anything else to him. All of this has no basis. If it had been good, the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) and those who pleased them would have preceded us in doing it. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
'A'isha reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: He who innovates things in our affairs for which there is no valid (reason) (commits sin) and these are to be rejected.من أحدث في أمرنا هذا ما ليس منه فهو رد
Sahih Muslim 1718a
And he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
He who did any act for which there is no sanction from our behalf, that is to be rejected.من عمل عملاً ليس عليه أمرنا فهو رد
Sahih Muslim 1718b
Meaning: it is rejected. It is not reported that he (peace and blessings be upon him) did this with his Muslim relatives, nor is it reported that the Companions did it with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) or with their relatives. Thus, it is known to be a religious innovation. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
