If I wish to prostrate to Allah in gratitude, do I say takbir at every prostration and rak'ah, and do I say taslim to the right and left, and is it permissible to prostrate in a direction other than the qiblah?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : This questioner is asking about the prostration of gratitude. He says: If I wish to prostrate to Allah in gratitude, do I say takbir to Allah at every prostration and rising, and do I say taslim to the right and left, and is it permissible to prostrate in a direction other than the qiblah?

The Shaykh : Perhaps the questioner means when he encounters a prostration verse, because there is never a prostration of gratitude in the Qur'an. However, if a blessing befalls him or a calamity is averted from him, he prostrates to Allah the Exalted in gratitude. He says takbir when he prostrates and says: "Subhan Rabbi al-A'la" (Glory be to my Lord, the Most High), and he mentions the blessing that befell him and the calamity that was averted from him, and he thanks Allah for it.
