The second question of Fatwa No. ( 14945 )
Q2: Some people say: If a girl shaves her head while she is young, her Hajj is not valid when she grows up. Is this correct, and why?
A2 : It is recommended to shave the head of a newborn on the seventh day, to slaughter the 'aqiqah, and to give in charity gold weighing the same as the hair. Shaving is not obligatory. As for the claim that the Hajj of one who shaves her head in childhood is invalid, this is a myth with no basis.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
