Q3: Does the fasting person break his fast upon hearing the first adhan for iftar in Ramadan, or does he wait until the mu'adhdhin finishes and then break his fast?
A3: The fasting person breaks his fast when he is certain of the setting of the sun by observation, or upon the adhan of the mu'adhdhin, if the mu'adhdhin is certain of the setting of the sun, he breaks his fast upon hearing it.
Q4: Is it permissible for me to drink while the mu'adhdhin is calling the adhan for the Fajr prayer in Ramadan? Or not?
A4: It is obligatory for the fasting person to abstain when he is certain of the dawn by observation or
the adhan of the mu'adhdhin who is certain of the appearance of the dawn; for Allah the Exalted said:[Al-Baqarah 2:187] . And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
