His father orders him to do things he knows are wrong
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa number ( 9452 )
Q 2: Sometimes my father orders me to do things that I personally know are wrong; for example, he orders me to take my brothers out of school to stay up late for his comfort. If my father does not pray and I advise him to pray, he sits and curses me with destruction. Is it true that there is no barrier between the supplication of the sick person and Allah? And is there any sin on me for disturbing him with this advice?
A 2: First: Obey your father in what is good, not in disobedience to Allah. Second: Continue advising him in matters of religion, such as prayer and others, and you are to be thanked and rewarded, and his curse will not harm you. Perhaps Allah will benefit him through it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
