Leaving a recommended practice to obey one's parents

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fourth question of the fatwa number ( 6448 )
Q 4: Is it permissible for a person to leave a recommended practice in order to obey his parents ? For example, if his father asks him not to wear a shirt. Is there a difference in this matter between a recommended practice that is encouraged and a recommended practice that is obligatory? And is performing any recommended practice considered enjoining good?
A 4: If obeying the father contradicts a command from Allah, or necessitates committing what Allah has forbidden, then there is no obedience to a created being in disobedience to the Creator. Therefore, it is not permissible for you to agree with your father in what is obedience to him but disobedience to Allah. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
