Fatwa No. ( 9344 )
Praise be to Allah, and may peace and blessings be upon His Messenger, his family, and his Companions. Thereafter: The Permanent Committee for Scholarly Research and Ifta has reviewed the question submitted by the Deputy Secretary for Services at the Municipality of Riyadh to His Eminence the President General, and referred to the Committee under number 139 on
8 \ 1 \ 1406 AH, which reads: We inform your Excellency that the Municipality has noticed the presence of certain names, which we doubt are appropriate, for some restaurants and butcher shops in various parts of the city of Riyadh , such as: (Al-Hamdulillah Restaurant), (Bismillah Butcher Shop), and (Tawakkul 'ala Allah Butcher Shop). Since we wish to inquire about the permissibility of using such names for these establishments, we request your guidance. May Allah reward your efforts.

And it responded as follows: It is not permissible to do so; because of the disrespect it entails for the dhikr (remembrance of Allah) and the names of Allah the Exalted, and the use of them in what is not fitting, and taking them as a means for purposes that contradict what the pure Shari'ah intended by them. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
