What is the interpretation of His saying, the Exalted, informing about the people of Paradise:

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner:
And as for those who were [destined to be] prosperous, they will be in Paradise, abiding therein as long as the heavens and the earth endure, except what your Lord should will - a bestowal uninterrupted.
[Hud 11:108]
, and the hadith ... ... ?

The Shaykh: Yes.

The questioner: So what is the meaning here of “enter” ... and does that mean that a person does not remain in Paradise ... except for what Allah wills, then ... or that there is another life other than the life of Paradise ... ?

The Shaykh: No, this means that the people of Paradise do not age and do not perish, and that they live in its bliss without end. As for His saying, the Exalted:
as long as the heavens and the earth endure مَا دَامَتِ السَّمَاوَاتُ وَالْأَرْضُ
[Hud 11:107]
this is information from Allah that He is the Doer of what He wills, and that no one has authority over Him, so if He wills, He does such and such; meaning He ends the bliss, whether in Paradise or in the Fire. But He informed in many of His verses and hadiths, (peace and blessings be upon him) =
-- And upon you be peace and the mercy of Allah and His blessings --
= that Paradise does not perish, its garments do not wear out, and its youth does not perish, in some authentic hadiths. So we combine these two reports: the report that we were informed that Paradise does not perish, and the report in which Allah, Mighty and Majestic, decreed that the people of Paradise abide in it
as long as the heavens and the earth endure, except what your Lord should will مَا دَامَتِ السَّمَاوَاتُ وَالْأَرْضُ إِلَّا مَا شَاءَ رَبُّكَ
[Hud 11:107]
. But did your Lord will the absence of eternity? The other verse came stating that He willed eternity.
So the verse is
as long as the heavens مَا دَامَتِ السَّمَاوَاتُ
[Hud 11:107]
to its end; the purpose is to establish that the will of Allah is the prevailing one; whether by keeping the eternity for the people of Paradise or by ending it. If we only had this verse, we would actually be in doubt, not knowing whether there is eternity without end in Paradise or not. But when the many verses and the Prophetic hadiths, more and more, inform of eternity, there is no contradiction between this and the verse.
