The questioner : In the name of Allah, and praise be to Allah, and may prayers and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah.
The honorable Shaykh, Allah Mighty and Majestic says in Surat Hud: "As for those who were wretched, they will be in the Fire, abiding therein."
The Shaykh :[Hud 11:106].
The questioner :.
The Shaykh :[Hud 11:106].
The questioner : No, Shaykh, in Surat Hud: "As for those who were wretched, they will be in the Fire, abiding therein as long as the heavens and the earth remain."
The Shaykh :[Hud 11:106]، [Hud 11:106-107].
The questioner : "As for those who were wretched, they will be in the Fire, abiding therein. For them therein is sighing and gasping."
The Shaykh : Well, say that Allah the Exalted said regarding the people of the Fire:[Hud 11:107]
The questioner : The saying of Allah Mighty and Majestic in Surat Hud regarding the people of the Fire:[Hud 11:107] And He said in the verse following it: [Hud 11:108] What is the meaning and the intent of the will here regarding the people of Paradise?
The Shaykh : The meaning is that they will abide therein as long as the heavens and the earth remain, except for what your Lord wills in addition to that. Because if this exception had not come and it had said:[Hud 11:107], a person might have imagined that the duration of the people's stay in the Fire, or the stay of the blessed in Paradise, is limited to the duration of the heavens and the earth. So when He said: [Hud 11:107], the meaning became: They will increase beyond that by whatever Allah the Exalted wills to increase. And Allah the Exalted has clarified in another verse that this is eternal, both for the people of Paradise and for the people of the Fire. He said the Exalted regarding the people of the Fire in three verses of His speech that they are abiding therein forever. He said in Surat al-Nisa: Yes
The student: ...
The Shaykh : No, at the beginning of the verse:[An-Nisa 4:168-169] And Allah the Exalted said in Surat al-Ahzab: [Al-Ahzab 33:64-65] And Allah the Exalted said in Surat al-Jinn: [Al-Jinn 72:23].
As for the eternity regarding the people of Paradise, it is abundant in the Qur'an. So on this basis, the abiding of the people of the Fire is eternal and the abiding of the people of Paradise is eternal. As for the exception, you have known its aspect[Hud 11:107]. Yes
The honorable Shaykh, Allah Mighty and Majestic says in Surat Hud: "As for those who were wretched, they will be in the Fire, abiding therein."
The Shaykh :
For them therein is [violent] exhaling and inhaling.
The questioner :
And as for those who were wretched
The Shaykh :
they will be in the Fire. For them therein is [violent] exhaling and inhaling.
The questioner : No, Shaykh, in Surat Hud: "As for those who were wretched, they will be in the Fire, abiding therein as long as the heavens and the earth remain."
The Shaykh :
For them therein is [violent] exhaling and inhaling.
(106) As for those who were [destined to be] wretched, they will be in the Fire. For them therein is [violent] exhaling and inhaling. (107) [They will be] abiding therein as long as the heavens and the earth endure, except what your Lord should will. Indeed, your Lord is an effecter of what He intends.
The questioner : "As for those who were wretched, they will be in the Fire, abiding therein. For them therein is sighing and gasping."
The Shaykh : Well, say that Allah the Exalted said regarding the people of the Fire:
abiding therein as long as the heavens and the earth endure
The questioner : The saying of Allah Mighty and Majestic in Surat Hud regarding the people of the Fire:
[They will be] abiding therein as long as the heavens and the earth endure, except what your Lord should will. Indeed, your Lord is an effecter of what He intends.
And as for those who were [destined to be] prosperous, they will be in Paradise, abiding therein as long as the heavens and the earth endure, except what your Lord should will - a bestowal uninterrupted.
The Shaykh : The meaning is that they will abide therein as long as the heavens and the earth remain, except for what your Lord wills in addition to that. Because if this exception had not come and it had said:
as long as the heavens and the earth endure

The Shaykh : No, at the beginning of the verse:
(168) Indeed, those who disbelieve and commit wrong [or injustice] - never will Allah forgive them, nor will He guide them to a path. (169) Except the path of Hell; they will abide therein forever. And that, for Allah, is [always] easy.
(64) Indeed, Allah has cursed the disbelievers and prepared for them a Blaze. (65) Abiding therein forever, they will not find a protector or a helper.
And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger - then indeed, for him is the fire of Hell; they will abide therein forever.
As for the eternity regarding the people of Paradise, it is abundant in the Qur'an. So on this basis, the abiding of the people of the Fire is eternal and the abiding of the people of Paradise is eternal. As for the exception, you have known its aspect
