The Multiplication of Sins in Makkah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Your Eminence! Are sins multiplied in Makkah? And how are they multiplied?
The multiplication in Makkah with regard to sins is not in terms of quantity, but it is multiplied in terms of quality, meaning that the punishment is more severe and more painful. The evidence that the quantity is not multiplied is the saying of Allah the Exalted:
Whoever comes [on the Day of Judgement] with a good deed will have ten times the like thereof [to his credit], and whoever comes with an evil deed will not be recompensed except the like thereof; and they will not be wronged.
[Al-An'am: 160] This verse is Makkan; because it is in Surat al-An'am,But as Allah the Exalted said:
We will make him taste of a painful punishment.
[Al-Hajj: 25] Meaning: The pain of the punishment in Makkah is more severe than the pain of the punishment if this sin is committed outside of Makkah.
