Exegesis of His saying, the Exalted: (Have you seen the one who forbids)
Then he said: [Al-Alaq: 9-10] Meaning: Inform me about the state of this man, and express wonder at the state of this man (who forbids) (a slave when he prays) So now we have a forbiddler and we have one who is forbidden, so who is the forbiddler? He is the tyrant of Quraysh, Abu Jahl, and he was called Abu al-Hukm in Quraysh; because they seek his judgment and return to him, so he was deluded by himself -may Allah protect us from that- and he mocked Islam and died upon disbelief as is well known, this man the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) named him Abu Jahl, in contrast to their naming him Abu al-Hukm, and as for the one who is forbidden, he is Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family),And he is the slave: [Al-Alaq: 10] It was said to Abu Jahl: Muhammad is praying at the Ka'bah in front of the people, causing them to fall into trial, and preventing them from their idols and their deities, so he passed by him one day while he was prostrating and forbade the Prophet (may the prayer and peace of Allah be upon him),And he said: You have forbidden me, so why do you do this?
