A woman with a heart condition broke her fast in Ramadan and then made it up. Does she have to feed people, and is it valid for me to perform Hajj on her behalf?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Yes

The questioner : The honorable Shaykh, a daughter who was ill and missed part of this year's Ramadan, and she fasted because of the illness, then she recovered. Does she have to give charity or not?

The Shaykh : She owes no charity, based on the saying of Allah the Exalted:
and whoever is ill or on a journey - then an equal number of other days ومن كان مريضا أو على سفر فعدة من أيام أخر
[Al-Baqarah 2:185]
And Allah did not mention charity. But I say she owes nothing.

The questioner : She owes nothing.

The Shaykh : She owes nothing except the fast.

The questioner : And then, she is ill. Can she perform Hajj? I mean, regarding her heart health, would a Hajj be sufficient for her or not?

The Shaykh : The obligatory Hajj.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : Yes, it is valid.

The questioner : It is valid.

The Shaykh : Yes

The questioner : I have a Hajj with me...

The Shaykh : By Allah, I have not informed anyone yet, but...

The questioner : Ah?

The Shaykh : I say, let us try it later, if Allah wills, and if I find someone, I will give it to him.

The questioner : Okay, so if she becomes unable to do it, he performs Hajj on her behalf.

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : Peace be upon you.

The Shaykh : And upon you peace and the mercy of Allah
