She said: "A woman came to me with her two daughters, asking for something, because she was poor. She found nothing with me except a single date. There was not a single date in any of the houses of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)! So I gave it to her. She split it between her two daughters into two halves, giving one daughter half the date and the other daughter the other half, and she did not eat anything of it.
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Aisha, and she informed him, because it was a strange and unusual story. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: " , : The meaning here is not the trial of evil, but rather whoever is decreed, as Allah the Exalted said: [Al-Anbya 21:35] meaning whoever is decreed to have two daughters and treats them well, they will be a shield for him from the Fire on the Day of Resurrection.
