The reader:
"From Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she said: A woman came to me with her two daughters asking for something. I found nothing with me except a single date, so I gave it to her. She divided it between her two daughters and did not eat any of it herself. Then she stood up and left. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came in to us, and I informed him of this. He said: Whoever is tested with any of these daughters and treats them well, they will be a shield for him from the Fire.
دَخلت على امرأة ومعها ابنتان لها تسأل، فلم تجد عندي شيئا غير تمرة واحدة فأعطيتها إياها، فقسمتها بين ابنتيها ولم تأكل منها، ثم قامت فخرجت، فدخل النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم علينا فأخبرته فقال : مَن ابتلي من هذه البنات بشيء فأحسن إليهن كن له ستراً من النار
, agreed upon by al-Bukhari and Muslim".
