The reader: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may prayers and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his household and all his Companions:
The author (may Allah have mercy on him) quoted: " From Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him), who said:
I set out along with Jabrir b. 'Abdullah al-Bajali on a journey and he used to serve me. I said to him: Don't do that. Thereupon he said: I have seen Ansar doing this with Allah's Messenger (ﷺ). I swore by Allah whenever I accompany any one of the Ansar, I would serve him

Chapter on honoring the household of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and explaining their virtue:
Allah the Exalted said:
Allah intends only to remove from you the impurity [of sin], O people of the [Prophet's] household, and to purify you with [extensive] purification.
[Al-Ahzab 33:33]
.
And He said:
And whoever honors the symbols of Allah - indeed, it is from the piety of hearts.
[Al-Hajj 22:32]
.
And from Yazid ibn Huban, who said: I set out with Husayn ibn al-Sabrah and Amr ibn Muslim to Zayd ibn Arqam (may Allah be pleased with them). When we sat down with him, Husayn said to him: You have met, O Zayd, much good. You saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), heard his speech, campaigned with him, and prayed behind him. You have met, O Zayd, much good. Tell us, O Zayd, what you heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). He said: O my nephew, by Allah, I have grown old and my memory has faded, and I have forgotten some of what I used to know from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). So accept what I tell you, and do not burden me with what I do not. Then he said:
He then said: One day Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) stood up to deliver sermon at a watering place known as Khumm situated between Mecca and Medina. He praised Allah, extolled Him and delivered the sermon and. exhorted (us) and said: Now to our purpose. O people, I am a human being. I am about to receive a messenger (the angel of death) from my Lord and I, in response to Allah's call, (would bid good-bye to you), but I am leaving among you two weighty things: the one being the Book of Allah in which there is right guidance and light, so hold fast to the Book of Allah and adhere to it. He exhorted (us) (to hold fast) to the Book of Allah and then said: The second are the members of my household I remind you (of your duties) to the members of my family. He (Husain) said to Zaid: Who are the members of his household? Aren't his wives the members of his family? Thereupon he said: His wives are the members of his family (but here) the members of his family are those for whom acceptance of Zakat is forbidden. And he said: Who are they? Thereupon he said: 'Ali and the offspring of 'Ali, 'Aqil and the offspring of 'Aqil and the offspring of Ja'far and the offspring of 'Abbas. Husain said: These are those for whom the acceptance of Zakat is forbidden. Zaid said: Yes.
