Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reader: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may prayers and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions:
The author (may Allah have mercy on him) quoted, in the context of the hadiths in the chapter on forgiveness and turning away from the ignorant: "From Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), who said:
It is as if I am looking at the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) describing a prophet from among the prophets (may the prayers and peace of Allah be upon them all), whose people struck him and caused him to bleed, while he was wiping the blood from his face and saying: O Allah, forgive my people, for they do not know
Agreed upon.
And from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
The strong-man is not one who wrestles well but the strong man is one who controls himself when he is in a fit of rage.
Sahih Muslim 2609a
Agreed upon"

The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful:
Al-Nawawi (may Allah have mercy on him) quoted in *Riyad al-Salihin*, in the chapter: Forgiveness and turning away from the ignorant: From Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), who said:
It is as if I am looking at the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) describing a prophet from among the prophets, whose people struck him until they caused his face to bleed, so he kept wiping the blood from his face and saying: O Allah, forgive my people, for they do not know
: This is from the forbearance of the prophets and their patience with the harm of their people, and how much harm the prophets suffered from their people. Allah the Exalted said:
And certainly were messengers denied before you, but they were patient over [the effects of] denial, and they were harmed until Our victory came to them.
[Al-An'am 6:34]
: So this Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), whose people struck him until they caused his face to bleed, said: "O Allah, forgive my people, for they do not know." It appears that these people were Muslims, but they harbored resentment toward their Prophet and did this to him, so he prayed for their forgiveness. If they had not been Muslims, he would have prayed for their guidance and said: "O Allah, guide my people." But the apparent indication is that they were Muslims. The truth is that it is his right to forgive them, and it is his right to waive his right. For this reason, the stronger opinion regarding one who insults the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and then repents is that his repentance is accepted, but he is killed. As for one who insults Allah and then repents, his repentance is accepted and he is not killed. This does not mean that insulting the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) is greater than insulting Allah; rather, insulting Allah is greater. But Allah has informed us that He forgives His right for whoever repents from it. So this man repented, and we know that Allah the Exalted has forgiven him. As for the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), he has died, so if someone insults him, he has dishonored his right. If he repents, Allah will forgive his disbelief which resulted from his insult, but the right of the Messenger remains: he is killed.
Then he mentioned the hadith of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
The strong man is not the one who overpowers people in wrestling
Wrestling is well known and is a permissible Prophetic sport.
For the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) wrestled Rakkhan ibn Yazid
: This man could not be overpowered by anyone, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wrestled him and overpowered him (peace and blessings be upon him). So this wrestler, who overpowers people when he wrestles them, is not truly the strong man. But the strong man is the one who overpowers his anger; when he becomes angry, he controls his anger. For this reason, he said:
the strong man is one who controls himself when he is in a fit of rage.
Sahih Muslim 2609a
: This is the strong man, because anger is an ember that Satan throws into the heart of the son of Adam, causing his blood to boil. If he is strong, he controls himself; if he is weak, anger overpowers him, and at that time he may speak words he regrets or do an action he regrets. For this reason, a man said to the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him and his family):
He said, "Advise me." He said, "Do not get angry." He said, "Advise me." He said, "Do not get angry." He said, "Advise me." He said, "Do not get angry." He repeated this several times, saying, "Do not get angry."
, because anger sometimes results in great harms; perhaps a person insults himself, or insults his religion, or insults his Lord, or divorces his wife, or breaks his vessel, or burns his clothes. Many incidents occur from some people when they are angry as if they came from a madman. For this reason, the stronger opinion is: "that if a man becomes angry until he cannot control himself and then divorces his wife, she is not divorced, because this occurred due to overpowering, not by choice, and divorce due to overpowering does not take effect, just as divorce under compulsion does not take effect", and Allah is the One who grants success.
The reader: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may prayers and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions. He (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "Chapter on enduring harm:
Allah the Exalted said:
and who restrain anger and who pardon the people - and Allah loves the doers of good;
[Ali 'Imran 3:134]
.
And He the Exalted said:
And whoever is patient and forgives - indeed, that is of the matters [requiring] determination.
[Ash-Shuraa 42:43]
"

The Shaykh : Repeat, repeat.
