How does one who has been struck by paralysis and is unable to move purify himself and pray?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The last question we are presenting to our sister in this episode. She says: I saw an elderly woman who is unable to get up from her bed or move, and she is afflicted with paralysis. I asked myself: How does she perform wudu and how does she pray? I wanted to ask your eminence, may Allah reward you with good.
Answer: She must fear Allah as much as she is able. She should perform wudu as Allah has commanded. Water should be brought to her, and she should perform wudu if her hands are functional, or someone else should perform wudu for her, such as her father, her brother, her sister, or her husband. This is because Allah, the Exalted, says:
So fear Allah as much as you are ableفَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ
[Al-Taghabun: 16].
As for cleaning oneself after relieving oneself, she should use a stone, a brick, or tissues to clean the anus and the front passage of the effects of excrement and urine, three times or more, until the area is purified from impurity. This suffices in place of water. If she is able to do this with her hand, meaning she cleans the area of excrement with tissues until she purifies the area from the effects of excrement, three times or more is necessary. It must be three or more, not less than three. Likewise, wiping the front passage three times or more until the area is purified from the effects of urine. This applies to the male, even if he is healthy, even if he is sound, and to the female, even if she is sound. If she does this, it suffices in place of water. As for the face, the hands, the head, and the feet, wudu is necessary if she can do it herself; otherwise, someone else should perform wudu for her, such as her husband, a servant, her mother, her sister, or the like. If no one is available to perform wudu for her, she should perform tayammum if she is able. She strikes the earth with her hands and wipes her face and palms with them with the intention of purification. If she is not able, someone else should perform tayammum for her as well. She permits someone else, she authorizes someone else, and he acts on her behalf. He strikes the earth with his hands and wipes her face and palms with them with the intention on her behalf, if no one is available to perform wudu for her.
The result is that she fears Allah as much as she is able in performing wudu and tayammum, either by herself or by someone who acts on her behalf if she is unable.
As for cleaning oneself after relieving oneself, stones, bricks, or tissues are sufficient, and it is not necessary to use water. If a person cleans himself with stones, bricks, or tissues three times or more until he purifies the area, that suffices, even if he is healthy. So the sick person is all the more entitled to do so. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
