Question:
Our brother has other questions; for example, he asks: What is the interpretation of the statement of Allah the Exalted, "I seek refuge in Allah from Satan, the expelled one": [Hud:107], in the statement of Allah the Exalted in Surat Hud: [Hud:106-107], and the verse that follows it?
Answer:
The scholars of exegesis have differed in their statements regarding this exception. The best that has been said about it is that the exception refers to what occurs during the Day of Resurrection in the Place of Resurrection, and what occurs in the state of the graves. All of this is excepted. Indeed, both the believers and the disbelievers have their share. The believer has his share of the pleasure of Allah in his grave and in his standing on the Day of Resurrection, as well as the ease and kindness that befall him. The disbelievers have their share of punishment in the graveyards and in their standing before Allah on the Day of Resurrection.
As for after entering the Fire, there is no exception in it. The people of the Fire are eternal in it for eternity, and they are the disbelievers. The people of Paradise are eternal in the abode of pleasure for eternity; they do not depart from it, they do not die, and their land is not destroyed. Likewise, the disbelievers are eternal in the Fire of Hell. According to the people of the Sunnah and the community, they are eternal in it for eternity; it is not destroyed, and they do not come out of it. As Allah (Mighty and Majestic) said regarding the people of the Fire: [Al-Ma'idah:37], and He the Exalted said: [Al-Baqarah:167].
He said regarding the people of Paradise: [An-Nisa:57]. So the people of Paradise are constantly in their pleasure, their joy, and their delight; they do not depart from it, and their land is not destroyed: [Ad-Dukhan:51-57]. He the Exalted said: [Al-Hijr:45-48]. In many verses, all of which indicate the eternity of these people and the eternity of these people. The people of Paradise are eternal in it for eternity, and the people of the Fire are eternal in it for eternity, meaning the disbelievers.
Some of the Salaf held the view that the Fire has an end and that its people will come out of it after the end or die in it. This view is anomalous according to the people of the Sunnah and the community and has no basis of truth. The position of the majority of the people of the Sunnah and the community is that the Fire is permanent forever, and that its people are eternal in it for eternity; it is not destroyed, and its people do not come out of it. Rather, they are in constant punishment and constant eternity. It remains and abides [An-Naba:23] and does not end. Thus, our Lord (Glorified and Exalted is He) informed us in His statement: [Al-Baqarah:167], [Al-Ma'idah:37], [Al-Isra:97], [An-Naba:30].
Whoever says that it has a limit, that is a weak, anomalous view that is not relied upon by the people of the Sunnah and the community.
As for the sinners among the monotheists, according to the people of the Sunnah and the community, if they enter the Fire, they will not be eternal in it. Rather, they will remain in it as long as Allah wills, and then Allah will bring them out of it out of His grace and mercy ; because they died upon tawhid (the oneness of Allah) and Islam. However, they had sins upon which they died without repenting from them. These people, if they enter the Fire, will not be eternal in it according to the people of the Sunnah and the community, contrary to the Khawarij and contrary to the Mu'tazilah and those who follow their methodology from the people of innovation.
As for the people of the Sunnah and the community, they are in unanimous, definitive consensus that the sinners will not be eternal in the Fire. Rather, they have a limit to which they will reach, as indicated by the authentic hadiths from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in the two Sahihs and others: "That the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) will intercede for the sinners, and Allah will set a limit for him, so he will bring them out of the Fire. Then he will return and intercede, then he will return and intercede, then he will return and intercede. In every instance, Allah will set a limit for him, so he will bring them out of the Fire." Likewise, the angels, likewise, the believers, and likewise the prophets will intercede, as the authentic reports from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) state. Then a remainder will remain in the Fire whom the intercessions did not include, and Allah the Exalted will bring them out by His mercy, (Exalted and Majestic is He), as the authentic hadith from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) confirms. This is the truth in which there is no doubt, and it is the view of the people of the Sunnah and the community entirely. Yes.

مَا دَامَتِ السَّمَوَاتُ وَالأَرْضُ إِلَّا مَا شَاءَ رَبُّكَ(106) As for those who were [destined to be] wretched, they will be in the Fire. For them therein is [violent] exhaling and inhaling. (107) [They will be] abiding therein as long as the heavens and the earth endure, except what your Lord should will. Indeed, your Lord is an effecter of what He intends.

wherein they abide forever
خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا أَبَدًا(51) Indeed, the righteous will be in a secure place; (52) Within gardens and springs, (53) Wearing [garments of] fine silk and brocade, facing each other. (54) Thus. And We will marry them to fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes. (55) They will call therein for every [kind of] fruit - safe and secure. (56) They will not taste death therein except the first death, and He will have protected them from the punishment of Hellfire (57) As bounty from your Lord. That is what is the great attainment.

(46) [Having been told], "Enter it in peace, safe [and secure]." (47) And We will remove whatever is in their breasts of resentment, [so they will be] brothers, on thrones facing each other. (48) No fatigue will touch them therein, nor from it will they [ever] be removed.
