Praise be to Allah alone, and may peace and blessings be upon the one after whom there is no prophet. Then: The Permanent Committee for Scholarly Research and Ifta has reviewed what was sent to His Eminence the Grand Mufti from His Excellency the Director of the Vocational Center in Jazan , No. (672/8), dated 11/5/1415 AH, and referred to the Committee by the General Secretariat of the Council of Senior Scholars, No. (1963), dated 14/5/1415 AH. His Excellency asked a question, the text of which is as follows: We inform Your Eminity that there is a mosque in the Vocational Training Center in Jazan that accommodates more than (800) eight hundred worshippers, while the number of center staff does not exceed two hundred and fifty, between students and employees. Therefore, three-quarters of the mosque's area is vacant, and given our pressing need for the aforementioned area to utilize it for a library and classrooms, we request Your Eminity to inform us of the possibility of utilizing the aforementioned area , knowing that the books to be placed in
the library are not all Islamic books; there are other literary books by many Saudi and Arab writers and poets. I hope for your response, and may Allah reward you with the best reward.
